This is a 30 minute figure drawing using a conte crayon. The focus of this drawing is the composition and gesture in a static pose in this case laying side ways. The composition in this drawing is good as the body is well proportioned with the head and that you can tell the legs are bent or straight making drawing look 3D as well as good composition. Also the gesture of this drawing is captured very well and mapped out of the page well. The black background and the shading of this drawing make the drawing look 3D and you can tell where the light is hitting the body, and the black background helps show where the light hits the body strongest giving this drawing a dynamic look.
